Is a Heavy Course Necessary for Pre-Primary Students?

Early childhood is one of the most important stages of a child’s life. During the pre-primary years, children are learning how to speak clearly, express emotions, build confidence, and interact with others. At this age, education should focus on growth, curiosity, and happiness rather than pressure and excessive academic burden.
Nowadays, many schools give very young children a heavy course load. Children are expected to complete homework, memorize difficult concepts, and spend long hours studying. While parents and schools often believe this will help children become smarter and more successful, too much academic pressure at an early age can sometimes do more harm than good.
Pre-primary students learn best through play, activities, storytelling, art, and social interaction. Their minds are naturally curious, and they understand concepts better when learning is enjoyable. A child who learns through games and creative activities often develops stronger thinking skills and confidence than a child who is only taught through books and memorization.
A heavy course can also affect a child’s mental and physical well-being. Young children may become tired, stressed, or lose interest in learning. Instead of enjoying school, they may start seeing education as a burden. Childhood should not be filled with constant pressure and competition.
This does not mean that education is unimportant. Basic learning in reading, writing, speaking, and numbers is essential. However, the teaching method and workload should match the child’s age and emotional development. The goal of pre-primary education should be to build a strong foundation, develop good habits, and create a love for learning.
Parents and teachers should remember that every child grows at a different pace. Success in life does not depend on how much a child studies at the age of four or five. It depends more on creativity, confidence, communication skills, character, and continuous learning over time.
In conclusion, a heavy course is not necessary for pre-primary students. What young children truly need is a balanced, joyful, and supportive learning environment where they can explore, play, and grow naturally. Education should inspire children, not burden them.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who make ordinary days feel magical with their love, prayers, sacrifices, and endless care. 🌷
A mother is not just someone who gives birth ; she is comfort in pain, strength in weakness, and dua in every hardship.
May Allah bless all mothers with health, happiness, peace, and the highest rewards for every silent sacrifice they make. ❤️

Causing emotional pain is a quiet sin.”
Not every wound is visible. Sometimes it’s in the words we choose, the tone we use, or the silence we give when someone needs kindness the most. We may forget what we said, but others often carry those feelings for a long time.
Let’s be more mindful, more gentle, and more compassionate. A kind word costs nothing, but it can heal more than we realize. 💛
