The hardest pill I’ve had to swallow is realizing that some people genuinely do not care.

They can hurt you, watch you fall apart, and then go on with their lives like nothing ever happened. Meanwhile, you’re left carrying the weight of what they did, wondering how they could hurt you so deeply and not be affected by it at all.

Whether it’s a friendship, a relationship, or even family, sometimes the person who hurt you sleeps just fine at night while you’re still trying to make sense of it.

The hardest part about depression is that it’s invisible. People don’t see it, so they call it ‘just a mindset’ or ‘weakness.’ But it’s not something you can fight with willpower alone. Even treatment takes time, and from the outside, you still look fine — while inside, you’re struggling more than anyone knows.
