Government Arts & Commerce College Larkana Observes Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir with Patriotic Activities
Larkana, August 5, 2026: As part of the ongoing Independence Day celebrations, Government Arts & Commerce College Larkana observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir with patriotic zeal. A one-minute silence was observed by the Principal, teachers, and students to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
A solidarity rally was also taken out within the college premises under the supervision of Principal Prof. Rizwan Gul, with enthusiastic participation from teachers and students carrying national flags and placards in support of the Kashmiri people.
The day's activities also included a painting competition on the themes of Independence and Patriotism, while the plantation campaign, launched on 1 August, continued with active participation from students and faculty members.
Principal Prof. Rizwan Gul appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and said that the Independence Day celebrations will continue until 14 August with a series of literary, cultural, academic, and environmental activities.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, the entire campus of Government Arts & Commerce College Larkano has been beautifully adorned with Pakistani flags for the series of events that will continue until 14 August.

Government Arts & Commerce College Larkana Holds Tri-Lingual Essay Writing Competition
Larkana, August 3, 2026: As part of the ongoing Independence Day celebrations, the entire campus of Government Arts & Commerce College Larkana has been beautifully decorated with national flags and buntings, creating a vibrant patriotic atmosphere. The college organised a Tri-Lingual Essay Writing Competition in English, Urdu, and Sindhi today under the supervision of the Principal, Prof. Rizwan Gul, with enthusiastic participation from a large number of students under the guidance of their teachers.
The plantation campaign, launched on August 1, also continued on the college campus, with students and teachers jointly planting saplings to promote environmental awareness and a greener future.
Principal Prof. Rizwan Gul appreciated the active participation of the students and faculty and said that the Independence Day celebrations would continue until August 14 with a variety of literary, academic, cultural, and environmental activities.

Government Arts & Commerce College Larkana officially launched its Tree Plantation Campaign on 1 August 2026 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The campaign will continue until 14 August 2026.
An important meeting of the Teachers' Committee for Co-Curricular Activities was also held today to review and finalize arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations. During the meeting, responsibilities for the daily programmes and activities were assigned to the committee members to ensure the successful conduct of the celebrations.

Work on the cleaning and overall maintenance of the college gardens is progressing at a rapid pace.

Electrical wiring, the installation of new electrical boards, energy savers and new ceiling fans in the newly renovated academic wing is progressing rapidly. The Principal of the college, Prof. Rizwan Gul, inspected the ongoing work and directed the concerned staff to ensure its completion at the earliest possible time.
