SIBA Testing Services (STS) Set to Conduct MDCAT Across Sindh with Full Transparency and Merit
SIBA Testing Services (STS) has confirmed its readiness to conduct the retake of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT-2024) across all six divisions of Sindh Province, following directives from the Honorable High Court. The test will be held in a transparent, merit-based manner, ensuring the integrity of the process, as per the directions of the court and the legacy of SIBA Testing Services.

In a statement, Vice Chancellor of Sukkur IBA University and CEO, STS, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, emphasized that an apex committee and supervisory committee have been formed to oversee preparations on an urgent basis depicting the specific TORs. He emphasized that all necessary arrangements are being finalized for the smooth conduct of the retake of MDCAT-2024 in every region of Sindh, including Karachi.

"All preparations are being put in place to meet the highest standards, addressing all issues raised in the past MDCAT-2024, in the judgment of the Honorable High Court. We want to assure candidates and their parents that their trust in SIBA Testing Services is well-placed. Their future is in safe hands," Prof. Dr. Shaikh said. "Transparency and merit will remain our top priorities, and the examination will be held under strict vigilance."

In the recent detailed judgment issued on November 15, 2024, by the Honorable High Court, the Court has set a deadline for the ex*****on of the retake examination MDCAT-2024 within four weeks starting from November 15, 2024.

STS is in constant communication with the Health Department, Government of Sindh, and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) through their designated focal persons. "The test date will be announced shortly, and the question paper will be prepared in accordance with the PMDC syllabus," the Vice Chancellor assured, reiterating the commitment of SIBA Testing Services to adhere to international standards of testing and maintain its long-standing tradition of excellence in testing.

At the same time, STS is aware of certain miscreants and ill-motivated individuals who have launched malicious campaigns to discredit Sukkur IBA University and undermine the integrity of the retake process. These actors are spreading false narratives and seek to disrupt the smooth conduct of this critical examination. Let it be known that such actions are not only unethical but also illegal. We call upon all responsible citizens to reject the baseless propaganda and support the efforts of Sukkur IBA University in ensuring a transparent and credible MDCAT process. Together, we can safeguard the future of our aspiring medical professionals and strengthen public confidence in the education system.

SIBA Testing Services, under the administrative control of Sukkur IBA University, has earned a strong reputation for its transparent, meritorious, and impartial testing processes and will ensure at the highest level that the MDCAT-2024 retake examination will be conducted with utmost fairness and transparency.
