FM91 Pakistan covered the Edfest, but they were a bit too late and only got to capture the closing note of the Panel Discussion and a few people at the stalls.

Edfest 1.0 is the first of its kind, education and career festival to be held at the Arfa Software Technology Park, Ferozepur Road, Lahore.

It’s being organized by an Ed-tech startup Uninama and is backed up by Punjab IT Board, Event Bazar and Plan9. There are going to be more than 15 universities and educational consultants present there, along with representatives of multinational corporations. There are tons of activities planned for the Edfest; Business Plan competition, CS Project competition, Panel discussion on the Digital Future of Education and much more.

IDG partnered with Lahore-based startup Uninama, organizers of the first-of-its-kind career fest where they invited universities to participate and get a one-on-one with the students. IDG hosted a Panel Discussion themed 'The Digital Future of Higher Education', where the panelists included:

Attention all applicants of the Edfest Business Plan Competition:

1. You need to submit your business plan or business model canvas, please do not send written ideas only, you need to include the following:
a) Problem/Pain you are solving
b) Your solution/Unique Selling Point
c) Revenue Model
d) Team
e) Competitor Analysis

2. Shortlisted teams will be announced tomorrow afternoon and only they will pitch their ideas on the Edfest (time will be confirmed tomorrow)

3. The Deadline is extended till 3 am, 22nd September. So you still have 5 hours to work on your submissions!
