A one hour talk session was conducted on the 19th of May 2016 by the CEO and owner of Chic Shoes. The owner-Ms Tania Malik gave the students a detailed insight of the shoe business-which she claims is one of the growing businesses in Pakistan. The speaker discussed the strengths and weakness of her business in particular to give a practical flavor of the shoe industry- its challenges and opportunities.
The session was thoroughly enjoyed by the students who felt that the session helped them explore a new dimension on setting up and running one’s own business.
The business development center strives to keep its faculty and students updated with the latest trends in the world of business. There is a requirement of each business or individual to keep itself connected to social media via dynamic business websites. It is for this reason that the Business Development Center initiated a 6 week training for its faculty starting 2nd November-12th December 2015 . The training session was targeted towards the computing faculty who were trained to use various software’s to develop basic business websites. This training material was later incorporated in the coursework designed for the students.
