On May 22, 2026, The BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), under CEPPED, successfully organized a Faculty Development Workshop on “Inclusive Curriculum Design: Training on Designing Curricula that Promote Social Cohesion and National Integration” at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore.
Held under the PHEC-funded “Cluster on Public Policy and Economic Development,” the workshop brought together faculty members and academicians from several universities across Lahore for discussions on inclusive education, curriculum reform, social cohesion and the role of higher education in fostering national integration.

On 05/22/2026, the BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), in collaboration with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), convened the inaugural National Roundtable Discussion under Unity in Diversity-Phase III, titled “Fostering National Integration through Inclusive Educational Curricula.”

Bringing together leading academics, curriculum experts, policymakers, and researchers, the roundtable served as a platform for critical dialogue on strengthening social cohesion, promoting inclusive educational frameworks, and addressing structural inequalities within higher education. Discussions emphasized the need for culturally grounded curricula, digital media literacy, pedagogical flexibility, and equitable educational opportunities that reflect Pakistan’s diverse social realities.

The roundtable concluded with a set of strategic recommendations aimed at advancing inclusive curriculum reform, strengthening institutional collaboration, and contributing to evidence-based policy development for national integration and social cohesion.

The BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR) successfully hosted a Faculty Development Workshop on “Strengthening Pakistan–China Academic Collaboration and Policy Engagement” with the visiting Delegation of Fudan University, China, under the PHEC-funded project “Cluster on Public Policy and Economic Development–CEPPED” on May 20, 2026.
The workshop brought together Deans, faculty members, researchers, and academic leaders from Beaconhouse National University and leading universities across Lahore, including GCU, LUMS, UMT, RLMU, UOL and Punjab University. The workshop featured engaging discussions on Pakistan–China academic cooperation, opportunities for joint research initiatives, institutional partnerships for policy engagement, and strengthening academic collaboration between higher education institutions.

On May 20, 2026, as part of the ongoing visit of the delegation of Fudan University, China, coordinated by the BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), the delegation engaged in an interactive session with BNU students on admissions, scholarship opportunities, and academic programs offered at Fudan University. The session provided valuable insights into higher education pathways and strengthened academic linkages between Pakistan and China.

The BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), in collaboration with the Understanding China Forum (UCF), successfully organized the seminar “75 Years of Pakistan–China Diplomatic Relations: Endurance, Transformation and Unfinished Agenda” at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

The seminar brought together distinguished speakers and panelists like Honorable Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Speaker Punjab Assembly, H.E. Mr. Sun Yan, Consul General of the Peoples’ Republic of China in Lahore, Dr. Moeed W. Yusuf, Vice Chancellor BNU, Prof. Liu Zongyi, Director of Center for South Asia Studies, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (online), Dr Zafar-ud-Din Mehmood, President UCF and Special Representative of PM for China, Dr Zhang Jiadong, Director, Centre of South Asian Studies, Fudan University (online), Rear Admiral Javed Iqbal, HI (M), President NIMA Islamabad (online), Ambassador Naghmana Hashmi, Former Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Dr Hassan Daud Butt, Senior Associate Professor, Bahria University Islamabad (online) and Dr Bilal Zubair, Director Research, Center for International Strategic Studies Islamabad, for an engaging discussion on the evolution of Pakistan–China relations, strategic cooperation, regional dynamics, and the future of bilateral engagement in an evolving global order.

The BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), in collaboration with the Understanding China Forum (UCF), is organizing a seminar titled “75 Years of Pakistan–China Diplomatic Relations: Endurance, Transformation and Unfinished Agenda” on May 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the SLASS Building, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore.

The seminar will bring together academics, diplomats, and policy experts to reflect on the evolution of Pakistan–China relations, regional cooperation, strategic partnerships, and the future trajectory of bilateral engagement in a changing global landscape.

Under the Center of Excellence on Public Policy and Economic Development (CEPPED) project, the Agri. Policy, Law and Governance Center, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, in collaboration with BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), is organizing a Policy Dialogue on “Research for Food” on May 14, 2026, at 2:30 PM at CAS, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

The dialogue will bring together leading academics, policymakers, and researchers to discuss the role of research, innovation, and policy in strengthening food systems, agricultural governance, and sustainable development in Pakistan.

The BNU Center for Policy Research (BCPR), in collaboration with the Youth Forum for Policy Research (YFPR), is organizing a CSS Workshop titled “Navigating the Bureaucratic Roadmap for University Students.”

The session will feature Mr. Tariq Aziz (SSP), Special Branch Lahore, who will share valuable insights on civil services, bureaucracy, and the realities of public sector leadership. An engaging opportunity for students looking to understand the pathways, challenges, and impact of a career in public service.

An important and timely perspective on the growing environmental and governance challenges facing the Indus Basin, shared by Dr. Erum Sattar at the Breathe Pakistan International Climate Change Conference 2026.

As a respected water law and policy expert and a member of BCPR’s Task Force on Water, Dr. Sattar continues to contribute meaningfully to critical conversations surrounding climate resilience, water security, and sustainable governance in Pakistan.
