Where history leans into literature and a quiet spark sets old stories stirring, that’s where our first day of Folk and Flame found its rhythm. We opened with a captivating performance by FMDS President Ali Raza, and the day unfolded into layered narratives: The Sun Ran Away directed by Eira, and The Woolpit Children by Ammama Shahid. The conversations that followed flowed just as naturally; Ma’am Sadiqa guiding us through flora and fauna, while Sir Saud weaving mythology into the contemporary collective unconscious, and Dr. Mariam Zia bringing the world of dastangoi to life. Day 1 ended softly, leaving the room humming with stories 🎀
