Rizwana Sarfraz, BS Sociology (2018–2022), transformed her passion for social change into achievement by clearing the Punjab Probation and Parole Service exam on her very first attempt—also marking her first-ever government job interview. Her journey reflects dedication, resilience, and a deep commitment to the values of Reintegration, Reformation, and Rehabilitation.
This proud moment captures the completion of her six-week training, marking the beginning of her impactful career in public service.

We take immense pride in celebrating the remarkable achievement of our student, Saqib Ali (2017-2021)🌟
From academic excellence to professional distinction, Saqib has set an inspiring example by being selected as an Officer in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and further securing a prestigious position in the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) as an Enforcement Inspector, currently serving at Tehsil Raiwind, District Lahore.
His outstanding performance in the PPSC PERA Exam, where he secured top position, reflects his dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence.
This success story truly embodies the values of determination and excellence that our department strives to nurture in every student.

Trauma leaves unseen wounds that shape lives in complex ways. It is a matter of great honor that two of our faculty members, Ayesha Farooq (Chairperson) and Miss Nimra Ishtiaq (Lecturer), presented their research at the International Symposium on Psycho-Social Trauma and its Management in Pakistan.
The research-informed session explored the social, psychological, and physiological impacts of trauma, while emphasizing pathways toward healing and resilience.
The Department of Sociology is grateful for this collaboration and looks forward to continued engagement with PSTSS.

The Ravian Sociological Society organized an engaging panel discussion on gender-based discrimination and the unspoken norms shaped by shame, fear, and silence. Our esteemed panelists shared profound insights on various dimensions of the issue.
Dr. Asma Majeed discussed the patriarchal culture that silence and control women’s voices.
Miss Abeeha Shaloom emphasized the importance of creating safe environments, understanding trauma responses, and fostering healthy coping mechanisms.
Dr. Ayesha Farooq highlighted the impact of structural and family norms, along with the issue of institutional neglect.
