The ground breaking ceremony of the Girls Hostel Project at Aligarh Public School & College Manga was performed by Mr. Stetson Sanders, Consul General USA, Lahore at the School premises on 19th September. It was attended by Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora Provisional Minister for Minorities and Human Rights, Mr. Ahsan Khokar, Mr. Anas Mehmood MPA,
Mr. Ahmad Irfan Khan Secretary American Business Forum, notables of Manga, representatives of major donors and other distinguished guests from all walk of life, including a Trustee visiting from UAE.
In his inaugural speech Mr. G.A. Sabri President of the Trust stated that the Girls Hostel Project is a landmark in our history as it will open the doors of the school and college to girls of distant areas, who will be developed as good citizens, and leaders to act as agents of change back home in their society, besides allowing them to enjoy academic as well as sports and extra-curricular activities at Aligarh Public School, College and later New Aligarh University.
Briefly recapitulating the genesis of the Tehzibul Akhlaq Trust, which was started by Alumni of Aligarh Muslim University India, who believed that education is the key to progress, national well-being and raising good human beings. They wanted to share in the development of the country, acquired with so many sacrifices. Their enthusiasm and zeal were contagious. Like minded philanthropists gathered together to initially finance the schools.
