The International Conference on "Innovation and Sustainability in Management and Social Sciences (ICISMS-2024)" at Thal University Bhakkar, organized by the Research Consultancy on Social and Management Development, brought together local and international experts to share insights on sustainable development and innovative research.
Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar, Vice Chancellor of Thal University, inaugurated the event, highlighting the pivotal role of research in addressing global challenges. Renowned speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ahmed Usman, Dr. Mubeen Ahmed, Dr. Bella Gulshan, and Prof. Dr. Zahou from China, delivered impactful talks on sustainability, innovation, and the integration of social sciences into global problem-solving.
Key Highlights:
1. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Usman from the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, University of the Punjab, discussed about the issue of academic slavery and the importance of indigenous wisdom, critiquing the dual standards in Westernized scientific validation. He argued that global academic systems often marginalize local knowledge systems and stressed the need for developing research paradigms rooted in indigenous contexts to foster genuine innovation.
2. Dr. Bella Gulshan from Turkey provided insights into social and environmental development, stressing how modern research methodologies and technology can address pressing social and environmental issues.
3. Prof. Dr. Zahou from China explored the influence of cultural diversity on social sciences research. He highlighted how a cross-cultural research approach can bridge societal challenges and contribute to sustainable development.
The conference also celebrated the efforts of Conference Chairs specifically Dr. Tauqeer Ahmed Lak, Dr. Mudassar Ali Nadeem, Dr. Siraj Hussain Raza, Dr. RoohUllah and Dr. Sharafat Ali Sair.
