Today under the leadership of the Right Reverend Nadeem Kamran, Bishop of Lahore Church of Pakistan - a special prayer ceremony was held at Lahore Cathedral, focusing on the security of the nation, expressing solidarity with the Pakistan Army and Chief of the Army Staff, and praying for peace between Pakistan and India. The event was attended by Lt. Colonel (Retd.) Adeel John (Coordinator LDBE), Priests of Lahore Diocese, and heads of Cathedral Schools campuses along with their faculty.
Following the prayer, a rally was organized from the Cathedral, where participants conveyed a strong message of unity with the Pakistan Army and the promotion of peace in the region. The rally emphasized peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and the elimination of terrorism, urging both the governments of Pakistan and India to engage in dialogue and adopt a joint strategy for peace.
His Grace, Bishop Nadeem Kamran, stated, "The Church condemns all forms of terrorism and believes it is in the best interest of the peoples of both countries to resolve their issues through negotiations rather than war." He further added, "We all must play our part in promoting peace, tolerance, and brotherhood so that our region can become prosperous and secure."
