Proud moment for GCU! On this Defence & Martyrs’ Day, ISPR’s new national song ‘Manzil Pakistan’ primarily filmed at Government College University, Lahore, with a large number of our students taking part. A fitting tribute from our youth to the sacrifices of our armed forces.

The Institute of Media and Communication Studies successfully conducted its Board of Studies Meeting, attended by distinguished external members Dr. Fawad Baig, Dean, Faculty of Media and Mass Communication, University of Central Punjab, and Dr. Ayesha Ashfaq, Chairperson, Department of Development Communication, Punjab University. Prof. Dr. Fauzia Ghani, Director, IMACS; Dr. Mukhtar Ahmmad In-Charge IMACS; Dr. Muniba Fatima Zahra, Assistant Professor; and Dr. Ali Bhadur Lecturer, also attended the meeting.

The Board deliberated upon and approved MS research topics, supervisors and external examiners; internship organizations, supervisors and external examiners for BS Media and Communication Studies and BS Digital Communication and Media, including affiliated colleges; the PhD roadmap; Associate Degree Program in MACS; and interdisciplinary courses.

The meeting reflects the Institute’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research development, and curriculum enhancement.

Ms. Mubashara, a student of Department of Digital Communication and Media Technology, was declared the Best Urdu Speaker
at the 1st All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest, “تخیل”, held at IVY College of Management, as the Debating Society of Government College University Lahore triumphed in this evemt.

The GCU team was also awarded the Team Trophy for being the overall Best Team.
