Mathalon '24 was a resounding success!
Students from UCP, PU, COMSATS, LGU, and FCCU came together for a day filled with challenging competitions, and interactive modules. The atmosphere was electric with enthusiasm as participants solved complex problems by putting their knowledge to test!
We thank Dr. Nazish Shahid, chairperson of Department of Mathematics for her presence and welcome notes in the opening ceremony.
We were immensely pleased by presence of Dr. Farheen Ibrahim, Dr. Faira Janjua and Ma’am Gul-e-Mehak.
Our event was further graced by the presence of our esteemed chief guest, Dr. Ahmed Qureshi, whose inspiring words set the tone for the day. The closing ceremony was equally special, with Dr Burhan from FCCU and Dr. Sana & Dr. Sarmad from LGU joining us to celebrate the participants' achievements and distribute awards.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including individual and team competitions, interactive mathematics-based puzzles, and networking sessions. The collaborative spirit was palpable as students from diverse backgrounds worked together, showcasing not only their mathematical skills but also their teamwork and creativity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, faculty members, and volunteers who made Mathalon '24 a phenomenal success. Your dedication and enthusiasm are what make events like these possible.
We extend our gratitude to Ma’am Sabah Iqbal, the advisor of Salam Mathematics Society for her support, efforts and love she put in the event and her team.
