پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد شریف مغل صاحب کی آج تیسری برسی ہے۔ آج سے عین تین سال قبل پاکستان ایک عظیم ماہرِ علمِ حیوانیات سے محروم ہو گیا۔انکو علمِ حیوانیات پہ وہ دسترس اور ملکہ حاصل تھا جو ہمارے ہاں ناپید ہے۔ انکی دوسری مخفی خصوصیات انکو اپنے ہم عصروں سے اور بھی ممتاز کرتی ہیں۔ دورانِ درس ان کے طالب علموں پہ ایک سحر سا طاری ہو جاتا تھا۔اس بات کے گواہ ان کے انگنت شاگرد ہیں۔ غرض یہ کہ انکی خصوصیات گننے لگیں تو کئی نشستیں کم پڑ جائیں گی۔
اساتذہ ء کرام کا رتبہ اللہ کریم نے بہت بلند رکھا ہے۔ والدین کے برابر مقام عطا فرمایا۔ لیکن اساتذہ میں سے کچھ ہستیاں ایسی ہوتی ہیں جو بادشاہ گر(بادشاہ بنانے والے) ہوتی ہیں۔ جن کے حضور زانوۓ تلمذ کرنے والے اوجِ ثریّا کو پا لیتے ہیں۔ استاد کو اللہ نے وہ کمال عطا کیا ہے جو انسان کو اپنی پہچان کرواتا ہے۔ ایسی ہی ایک شخصیت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد شریف مغل صاحب تھے۔ دنیاوی لحاظ سے تو وہ ہم میں نہیں رہے لیکن انکی اچھی تربیت، اخلاق، سخاوت اور علم کی روشنی انکے ہزاروں شاگردوں کے ذریعے سے رہتی دنیا تک فیضِ عام جاری رکھے گی۔
یوں تو زندگی موت کا چولی دامن کا ساتھ ہے، لیکن کسی ایسے انسان کا چھوڑ کے یوں چلے جانا ہمارے لئے بہت تکلیف دہ اور روح کو دھلا دینے والا ہوتا ہے جس سے ہم نے زندگی کو جینا سیکھا ہو۔ دل سے انتہائی قریبی اشخاص کی موت ایسے غم پیدا کرتی ہے جو ہر سال ہرے ہو جاتے ہیں۔ ایسی ہی ایک دل و دماغ کو مائعو ف کر دینے والی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد شریف مغل صاحب کی جدائی ہے۔
آپ سب سے گزارش ہے کہ آج انکی روح کے سکون اور درجات کی بلندی کے لیے دعائے خٰیر کریں۔ اللہ پاک پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد شریف مغل صاحب کے درجات بلند کرے۔ انکے اہلِ خانہ کو صبر جمیل دے۔ آمین ثمہ آمین۔
