Dear Delegates I welcome you all to the stimulation of UNDP this November at the CSMUN . My name is Khadija Asif and I am a junior in Chemical Engineering Department at the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

Regardless of my academics my inclination towards MUN’s have always been very strong. So my serious academic demeanour shouldn’t fool you in my passion towards MUN debates. Debating and especially MUNs have been an essential for me .They have allowed me not only to raise my voice but also to hear what others have to say at International and National forums-I have had my fair share of failures and each has made me strong as a person. I have found out that each country is unique and therefore it is this conference of opinions that has allowed me to thrive in my own way. So I encourage all of you to become the true ambassadors of your allotted countries, raise your voice and listen to other. Draft resolutions and aim for solutions and most importantly benefit from the vast knowledge of your peers flowing through the committee, and becoming a more informed citizen of the global populace.Be a Lil extra for extra brownie points-cheers

I am privileged to welcome you to CSMUN VIII. I Muhammad Irtaza and I have done Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and I have been in public speaking since 2009.

I am serving as debating coach at City School Sahiwal and looking after my business as well. I must say that initiative of these simulations are such a stupendous effort for awareness and developing efficacious and confident traits in personality. Believe me these types of sessions are rich source of learning and fun. For the first time when I participated in MUN I thought it will be some sort of exhausting activity but seriously it is an eminent package for acquiring luminous personality attributes.

The vast array of topics and committee will further ensure a uniquely engaging and thought-provoking experience for each and every delegate. I strongly encourage you to be a part of this.

Here goes my chair note:

Asalaam-Alaikum!
My name is Laiba Mubashar and I feel both humbled and honoured to be chairing at this year's simulation of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee at the eight iteration of CSMUN.
Currently, I am in my first year of A levels at Lahore Grammar School 55 Main and have been involved in the Model United Nations circuit since the past 4 years nearly.
Having won at many credible MUNs and chaired/ ACD-ed a few as well, I also owe a lot of my learning and personality development to this sport. Therefore, I hope that you too are truly passionate about the art of public speaking and diplomacy instead of merely viewing MUNs as an opportunity to fill your shelves at home with shields.
Let me also affirm that I'll be on the lookout for delegates who along with standing by their respective stances, are also cooperative and who, aside from being well-researched and well-versed in both topic areas, also direct the debate in the committee.
Thus, research well on the topics as well as the mandate of Specpol and be innovative when it comes down to solutions.
Moreover, aside from my involvement in MUNs, I am a science-enthusiast and enjoy Urdu poetry as well. Personally, I abhor entertainment sessions but worry not, because I will grant you a couple if you make the debate interesting.
