while I picked up Litman steth from the table and went to examine the only patient in ER ICU our on duty SR looked at me like I am doing something unusual. He kept looking at me with curiosity while I did all the steps of respiratory examination from inspection to auscultation that I remembered. I came back n put steth back to table and he finally asked.
SR: what did you find there?
I told all the finding of plural effusion that I could remember..
He: so you are asking me to advice CXR.
me(HO): yes Sir.
He: If you turn out to be wrong then you'll will be fined.
me: okay but If I am right you'll give me a prize ;)
Now he gave me a curious look, picked up steth and went straight to examine the patient.
He: you were right! she has massive plural effusion. send her for x-ray and you'll do plural tap, it's your reward...
x ray came I did the plural tap and he kept praising me for the next 4 hours in front PG's "look at this guy he picked up findings in a patient" I was enjoying the idea of what I did until a college of mine ruined it.
"Sir isne patient ka purana xray dykha hua tha r patient ne btaya tha usay CA oviary hai" :P :D
