Recently, I received a message from the amazing Harini Mani, who just won the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. Seeing that message honestly made my day. Many congratulations 👏 to her, what an achievement.

When I started YouTube, I had no idea that simply sharing my own experiences could have this much impact. At that time, I was just talking about the opportunities I found, the scholarships I came across, the mistakes I made, and the things I wished someone had told me earlier.

Now, almost every day, I receive messages and emails from students who tell me that one video, one post, or one small piece of advice helped them move forward. And somehow, that still feels unreal to me.

Today, we have built a community of nearly 400K people, mostly students who are just trying to reach the next level in their lives. Through YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Scholars Avenue, our content has somehow reached and helped hundreds of thousands of students.

Maybe the reason this means so much to me is because I come from a background where we simply did not have this kind of information. We did not know where to look, what opportunities existed, or what achievements were actually possible for us.

That is probably why, once I started discovering these things myself, I became so determined to keep sharing them with others.

And when someone like Harini Mani comes back and says that your content played even a small part in her journey, it reminds you why you started in the first place.

Still a long way to go, but the mission is the same: keep sharing what I learn and help more students find opportunities that they may not even know exist yet.

What a place it was :)

🎓 Bachelor's in USA

If you're applying after high school, Intermediate, FSc, ICS, A-Levels, IB, or an equivalent qualification, your application may include academic transcripts, English-language proficiency, essays, recommendation letters, extracurricular activities, and standardized tests depending on the university.

Many US universities have test-optional or test-flexible policies, while others may require or recommend SAT/ACT scores. Always check the individual university's requirements for the 2027 admission cycle.

📚 Master's in USA

For Master's applicants, your academic profile, relevant coursework, work/research experience, SOP, recommendation letters, and overall fit with the program can be extremely important.

GRE and GMAT policies vary significantly between universities and programs, so don't assume that every US university requires them.

🔬 PhD in USA

The USA remains one of the world's leading destinations for research and PhD education.

Many PhD programs provide funding packages that can include tuition support and a stipend through fellowships, research assistantships, teaching assistantships, or other institutional funding.

Your research experience, publications, academic background, recommendation letters, research interests, and fit with the department can play a major role in PhD selection.

💰 Scholarships & Funding

Studying in America can be expensive, but international students should actively research:

• Merit scholarships
• Need-based aid where available
• University scholarships
• Departmental funding
• Graduate assistantships
• Teaching Assistantships (TA)
• Research Assistantships (RA)
• Fellowships
• Fully funded PhD programs

Never assume the advertised tuition fee is automatically what every admitted student will ultimately pay. Research funding and scholarship opportunities at each university.

🛂 F-1 Student Visa

After receiving admission and satisfying your university's requirements, eligible international students typically receive Form I-20 from their SEVP-certified institution.

The visa process then involves important steps such as SEVIS, DS-160, scheduling your visa appointment, preparing your financial documentation, and attending the F-1 visa interview.

Getting university admission does NOT guarantee a student visa.

Your visa application should accurately demonstrate your academic purpose, financial preparation, and eligibility under the applicable requirements.

💼 Working in the USA

International students should understand the employment rules associated with F-1 status before accepting any job.

Depending on eligibility and authorization, students may have access to on-campus employment and practical training opportunities such as CPT and OPT.

Eligible students completing certain STEM degrees may also qualify for a STEM OPT extension.

🗓️ Start Early for 2027

If you're targeting Fall 2027, don't wait until 2027 to begin.

Start researching universities, preparing for language/standardized tests where necessary, working on your SOP and essays, contacting recommenders, and identifying scholarship opportunities early.

Planning to study in Sweden in 2027? 🇸🇪

Sweden is home to internationally recognized universities, innovative research, English-taught degree programs, scholarships, and opportunities for international students.

But is Sweden really one of the BEST countries to study in 2027?

In this video, I explain the COMPLETE process of studying in Sweden — from finding universities and applying for admission to scholarships, tuition fees, financial requirements, residence permits, student jobs, and opportunities after graduation.

🇸🇪 In this video, I explain:

✅ Why study in Sweden?

✅ Opportunities after graduation
✅ Common mistakes international students make
✅ Complete strategy for Sweden 2027

🎓 How Do You Apply to Swedish Universities?

One of the most important things to understand about Sweden is its centralized application system.

For many university programs, international students apply through UniversityAdmissions.se rather than submitting completely separate applications to every university.

You can search for programs, rank your choices, upload documents, follow your application, and receive admission results through the system.

Deadlines are extremely important.

For international students who need a residence permit, the first admission round for the autumn semester is generally the most important because it provides more time for admission, tuition payments where applicable, and residence-permit preparation.

💰 Scholarships in Sweden

Sweden is not tuition-free for most students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

However, international students can explore several scholarship opportunities.

These can include:

• Swedish Institute Scholarships
• University-specific scholarships
• Tuition-fee waivers
• Erasmus+ opportunities
• Other institutional and external funding

One of the best-known opportunities is the Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals, which targets eligible Master's students from selected countries and has specific academic, professional, and leadership-related requirements.

Scholarship eligibility and benefits vary significantly, so don't assume that admission automatically means you will receive funding.

💳 Tuition Fees & Cost of Living

Before choosing Sweden, understand your finances properly.

Non-EU/EEA students generally need to pay tuition fees unless they qualify for an exemption.

You also need to budget for:

• Accommodation
• Food
• Transportation
• Insurance where required
• Books and personal expenses
• Residence permit requirements

Sweden can be expensive compared with some other European study destinations, so financial planning should be part of your university-selection strategy.

🛂 Sweden Student Residence Permit

If you're a non-EU/EEA student studying in Sweden for more than three months, you will generally need a residence permit for higher education.

Admission is only one step.

You also need to satisfy the applicable requirements concerning tuition payment, passport validity, financial maintenance, and other documentation.

Always check the latest requirements before submitting your application.

💼 Jobs in Sweden

Can international students work while studying?

Sweden can offer opportunities, particularly in fields such as technology, engineering, research, sustainability, life sciences, and business.

But finding a job is NEVER guaranteed.

Your previous experience, skills, location, networking, industry, and Swedish-language ability can significantly affect your opportunities.

Even if your Master's degree is completely in English, learning Swedish can be extremely valuable for your long-term career.
