How Climate Change is Impacting Gender

A Critical Conversation

Honored to be part of an insightful dialogue on the intersection of climate change and gender, hosted under the banner of Climate Action for a Sustainable Future.

Climate change is not gender-neutral. Its impacts disproportionately affect women and marginalized communities—across livelihoods, health, education, and resilience. Addressing the climate crisis therefore requires gender-responsive policies, inclusive leadership, and evidence-based action.

I’m grateful to Anum Shahid for hosting this meaningful conversation and driving a global perspective into the discourse.

Proud to highlight the role of GreeMent in advancing climate justice, gender equity, and sustainability-focused capacity building.

Platforms like these are essential to bridge research, policy, and grassroots action—turning dialogue into measurable impact.
The way forward is clear:

Integrate gender into climate policy and planning

Invest in inclusive climate leadership

Translate science into action at scale

Let’s continue to collaborate, innovate, and accelerate solutions for a just and sustainable future.

I am Live at 7 News talking about Brain Drain and rise of drug use in youth of Pakistan

Watch and give feedback

25/11/2025

Excited to deliver a strategic talk tomorrow on two critical youth-centric challenges shaping Pakistan’s future trajectory: the accelerating brain drain and the rising trend of drug use among young people.

As we navigate an increasingly competitive global landscape, these issues are no longer social concerns — they are national competitiveness risks.
My session will unpack the structural drivers, ground realities, and cross-sector solutions required to build a future-ready, resilient talent ecosystem.

Key Focus Areas:

Human capital leakage and the economic cost of talent flight

Youth mental health pressures and vulnerability to harmful substances

Policy gaps impacting retention, wellbeing, and productivity

Strategic interventions to build a high-value, future-proof workforce

The role of academia, government, private sector, and civil society in driving collective impact

This conversation is not just timely — it’s essential. Retaining, empowering, and protecting our youth is central to Pakistan’s long-term growth story.

Looking forward to engaging with educators, development partners, and policy stakeholders committed to driving systemic change

Thrilled to be engaged as a keynote speaker at the Rotaract Club of Lahore’s leadership forum, driving a results-oriented dialogue on “Climate Change & How Rotaractors Can Contribute.”

This engagement reflects a growing momentum across youth-led platforms to transition from awareness to actionable climate leadership pipelines. As part of this strategic conversation, I also showcased the role of GreeMent , our sustainability-driven ecosystem enabling organizations and young leaders to operationalize green practices, enhance ESG alignment, and embed climate intelligence into decision-making frameworks.

Empowering Rotaractors with future-proof skill sets—carbon literacy, resource optimization, and climate-responsive planning—is a critical step toward building resilient communities and accelerating Pakistan’s sustainability agenda.

Looking forward to continuing this multi-stakeholder journey toward climate-smart development.

At GreeMent, ہمارا فوکس ہے:

Evidence-based climate action

Cross-sector partnerships

Community-led resilience solutions

Climate governance کا سفر طویل ہے — مگر collaborative action, informed leadership اور strategic dialogue کے بغیر ممکن نہیں۔

Looking forward to enabling stronger climate leadership frameworks, policy coherence, and on-ground ex*****on.
One step at a time. One partnership at a time.
