Rahbar Medical & Dental College celebrated the blessed occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ on 29th August 2025 with great zeal and respect. 🌿

Clinical Case Spotlight | CPC at RMDC
The Department of ENT conducted an insightful CPC on Cholesteatoma under the topic “Skin in the Wrong Place” on 2nd May 2025.
The case was excellently presented by a House Officer from the ENT Department, earning appreciation from Vice Principal Brig (R) Dr. Muhammad Zia Ullah for their clarity and clinical reasoning.

Interactive teaching

We were honored to host Dr. Tamseel Awan, Consultant Family Physician, for an engaging lecture on:

"STOP/START Criteria in Medical Prescriptions"
Date:25th April 2025 (Friday)
Venue:New Lecture Hall Complex, RMDC

The session was attended by 4th and Final Year MBBS students, along with faculty members from both Basic and Clinical Sciences. Dr. Awan emphasized the importance of safe and evidence-based prescribing with key take-home messages:

- Always take a complete drug history
- Use both generic and trade names
- Don’t mistake side effects for new illnesses
- Review medications at each consultation
- Educate patients on side effects and when to seek help
- Aim for minimal effective dosing
- Reassess drug lists when new symptoms appear
- Don't ignore non-drug interventions

CPC on Chronic Bleeding Per Re**um was successfully conducted on 18th April 2025 by the Department of Internal Medicine at RMDC.

A well-structured and informative session—commendations to HOD Prof Brig Muhammad Tahir and his dedicated team of presenters, Dr. Maryam and Dr. Noor us Saba, for their excellent presentation.

Special thanks to HOD Radiology, Dr. Asma Tariq, and Dr. Sidra Shaukat for their valuable insights on the radiological and histopathological diagnosis of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Brig Dr. Zia Ullah, VP/Dir HR, appreciated the efforts of the presenters and the collaborative academic spirit displayed during the session.
