اغیار کے افکار و تخیّل کی گدائی!
کیا تجھ کو نہیں اپنی خودی تک بھی رسائی؟
(علامہ اقبال)

منظوم فارسی ترجمہ:
از غیر کنی فکرت و اندیشه گدایی!
آیا به خودی خویشتنت نیست رسایی؟
(مترجم: محمد افسر رھبین)

تشریح:
اس شعر میں اقبال نہایت دُکھ، تاسف اور طنز بھرے انداز میں امتِ مسلمہ کو مخاطب کر رہے ہیں۔ "اغیار کے افکار و تخیل کی گدائی" میں اقبال اُس ذہنی غلامی پر ضرب لگا رہے ہیں جو مسلمان قوم مغرب کے فلسفے، سائنس، ثقافت اور فکری نظام کو اندھا دھند قبول کر کے اپنا چکی ہے۔ "گدائی" کا لفظ یہاں نہ صرف انحطاطِ فکر کی علامت ہے بلکہ اس سے غیرتِ ایمانی کا فقدان بھی ظاہر ہوتا ہے — کہ ایک ایسی قوم، جسے وحی، نبوت، اجتہاد، اور تہذیبِ اسلامی جیسی اعلیٰ اقدار عطا کی گئی تھیں، اب وہ دوسروں کے خیالات کی بھیک مانگ رہی ہے۔
"کیا تجھ کو نہیں اپنی خودی تک بھی رسائی؟"یہاں "خودی" اقبال کا وہ مرکزی تصور ہے جو انسان کی باطنی قوت، روحانی شناخت، اور تخلیقی صلاحیت کا مظہر ہے۔ شاعر کہتا ہے کہ اے مسلمان! تُو دوسروں کے علم و فن کا محتاج کیوں بن گیا؟ کیا تجھے اپنی حقیقت، اپنی فطرت، اپنے جوہر کا ادراک نہیں؟ اگر تُو اپنی خودی کو پہچان لے تو تجھ سے افلاک روشن ہو سکتے ہیں، خورشید تیرے شرر سے نور حاصل کرے گا، اور قدرت تیرے فن پر رشک کرے گی۔
یہ شعر اقبال کے فکری پیغام کا نچوڑ ہے ، وہ محض تنقید نہیں کرتے، بلکہ تعمیر کی دعوت دیتے ہیں۔ وہ امت کو یاد دلاتے ہیں کہ تقلیدِ مغرب اور فکری گدائی سے نکل کر اپنے باطن کی خودی کو دریافت کرو، کیونکہ جدت کی اصل بنیاد بھی خودی کی آگہی سے ہی پھوٹتی ہے۔
