A highly productive meeting was held between Samiullah Sami, Convener, Global Investment & Facilitation Committee at Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Chairman Scenario Group, and His Excellency Yasin Joyia at the Sri Lankan Consulate.

The discussion focused on unlocking high-potential avenues to strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Both sides identified key sectors including tourism, healthcare, and higher education as priority areas for collaboration, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.

It was mutually agreed to organize joint trade and investment events in both countries, creating strong platforms for B2B engagement, partnerships, and market expansion. Two flagship annual events are also planned for 2026—one in Sri Lanka and one in Pakistan—marking a significant step toward structured economic cooperation.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing people-to-people connectivity and encouraged the business community to actively explore emerging opportunities.
