Specializing in Discourse Studies and English for Academic Purposes, Dr. Ambreen completed her doctoral research titled “Emerging Writer Identities among Female MA TESOL Students in Pakistan.”

Held under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, who graced the occasion as Guest of Honour, the conference reflected LCWU’s commitment to strong institutional linkages, youth empowerment, public awareness, and sustainable national development through academia-government collaboration.

Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) made a strong and distinguished presence at the high level seminar hosted by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), organized in line with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan’s vision of strengthening academia industry linkages through ORICs.
LCWU was represented by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi as Guest of Honour, along with Prof. Dr. Saima Sharif, Director ORIC, Dr. Ayasha Khalil, Senior Manager ORIC (Industry Academia Linkages & Technology Transfer), Prof. Dr. Faiza Saleem, and Prof. Dr. Neelma Munir, reflecting the University’s strong commitment to research, innovation, and industry engagement.
In her keynote address, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi emphasized that universities must transform ORIC mandates into measurable outcomes through industry relevant research, technology transfer, commercialization, entrepreneurship, and strategic partnerships. She also proposed the establishment of an Innovation Hub at LCWU in collaboration with LCCI to promote applied research, student innovation, startup support, and stronger university industry collaboration. President LCCI Faheem ur Rehman Sehgal presented a commemorative shield to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi in recognition of her distinguished participation and leadership at the seminar. Under her dynamic leadership, LCWU remains committed to contributing to HEC’s national innovation agenda successfully.
