ORIC proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Dr. Ambreen Siddique, who has earned her PhD in English Language and Linguistics from University of Malaya, ranked 58th among QS World University rankings, under the program “Strengthening the Faculties of LCWU.”
Specializing in Discourse Studies and English for Academic Purposes, Dr. Ambreen completed her doctoral research titled “Emerging Writer Identities among Female MA TESOL Students in Pakistan.”

ORIC LCWU, in collaboration with the Department of STEM Education, successfully organized Youth Conference 2026 on Pakistan’s Population Management Challenge in partnership with the Government of Punjab Population Welfare Department. Held under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, who graced the occasion as Guest of Honour, the conference reflected LCWU’s commitment to strong institutional linkages, youth empowerment, public awareness, and sustainable national development through academia-government collaboration.

ORIC LCWU proudly shares the signing of the MoU between the Department of Applied Psychology, LCWU, and the Pakistan Psychological Association (PPA), under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi .The initiative was led by Prof. Dr. Amina Muazzam in the presence of Prof. Dr. Saima Sharif, Director ORIC, along with distinguished guests and faculty of Applied Psychology.
This strategic collaboration will strengthen research, professional linkages, internships, and career opportunities for students of Clinical Psychology.

Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) made a strong and distinguished presence at the high level seminar hosted by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), organized in line with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan’s vision of strengthening academia industry linkages through ORICs.
LCWU was represented by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi as Guest of Honour, along with Prof. Dr. Saima Sharif, Director ORIC, Dr. Ayasha Khalil, Senior Manager ORIC (Industry Academia Linkages & Technology Transfer), Prof. Dr. Faiza Saleem, and Prof. Dr. Neelma Munir, reflecting the University’s strong commitment to research, innovation, and industry engagement.
In her keynote address, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi emphasized that universities must transform ORIC mandates into measurable outcomes through industry relevant research, technology transfer, commercialization, entrepreneurship, and strategic partnerships. She also proposed the establishment of an Innovation Hub at LCWU in collaboration with LCCI to promote applied research, student innovation, startup support, and stronger university industry collaboration. President LCCI Faheem ur Rehman Sehgal presented a commemorative shield to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi in recognition of her distinguished participation and leadership at the seminar. Under her dynamic leadership, LCWU remains committed to contributing to HEC’s national innovation agenda successfully.

Under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), LCWU is pleased to announce that 13 projects from Lahore College for Women University have been shortlisted for the prestigious Punjab Innovation & Technology Expo (PINTECH) 2026, organized by the Punjab Higher Education Commission.
