Time to Say goodbye to College.. End of PGD DIPLOMA in Speech and Language Therapy Session 2024-25

1. As the academic calendar comes to an end, we close one chapter filled with learning, memories, and growth. Saying goodbye to college feels emotional, but the lessons and friendships we gained will stay with us forever.

2. The end of this academic year marks not just a finish, but a beautiful beginning. College may end, but the experiences, laughter, and bonds we built will continue to guide us ahead.

3. With the closing of the academic calendar, we bid farewell to the place that shaped our dreams. College goodbyes are never easy, but the journey ahead is brighter because of what we learned here.

World Human Rights Day was celebrated at Government Training College for Teachers of Deaf Gulberg II Lahore.

1. World Human Rights Day, observed on 10 December, reminds us that every person deserves dignity, freedom, and equality.
2. It celebrates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and promotes justice and fairness for all.
3. The day urges nations and individuals to stand against discrimination and protect the rights of every human being.
4. It is a call to ensure that peace, respect, and humanity remain at the center of our actions.

Today a workshop was arranged at Government Training College for Teachers of Deaf 40-T Gulberg II Lahore on Dysphagia the Swallowing Disorder. Dr. Fozia Saleem Conceltant Speech and Language Pathologist and HOD Autism Unit Combined Miltary Hospital Lahore shared her expertise to students of Speech and Language Therapy Department. she discussed in details about the diagnosis and management of patients with Swallowing Disorder. it's really great learning for Teachers and students who're working as speech and Language Pathologist. we're thankful to our respected guest for coming and sharing her experience to all of us.

Our students of Speech and Language Therapy Department attended a workshop held at Punjab University Lahore today on the topic “Identifying Parallel Between Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Speech-Language Therapists” to enhance understanding of the shared roles and collaboration among these professionals.

Mental Health Day Walk at Govt Training College for Teachers of Deaf Gulberg II Lahore.

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Govt Training College for Teachers of Deaf Gulberg II Lahore organized an awareness walk to highlight the importance of mental well-being. Led by the Principal, the event saw active participation from both students and staff. The walk aimed to break the stigma around mental health, promote open conversations, and encourage a supportive and compassionate environment within the community.

On October 9, 2025, the Government Training College for Teachers of the Deaf, Gulberg, Lahore, celebrated National Speech Therapy Day with a walk and a cake-cutting ceremony. Staff, students, and faculty participated in a walk around the campus to raise awareness about the importance of speech therapy in supporting individuals with communication challenges. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and brief remarks highlighting the vital role of speech-language services in the education and empowerment of the deaf community.
