Dr. Ayesha Naveed, as part of the series "Capacity Building for Demonstrators," conducted two insightful workshops "Course Designing/Planning," and "Designing Effective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)" on May 23, 2023, Tuesday, and May 24, 2023, respectively, to enhance the capabilities of the demonstrators.

As part of the Student Engagement Program, an initiative spearheaded by the School of Health Professions Education, the workshop entitled "Portfolio Development" marked the inaugural training session for faculty members at CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry.

The workshop, a pivotal component of the student engagement program, took place on May 16, 2023, from 9 am to 12 pm in the FDP Room 353.

Facilitated by the esteemed Prof. Dr. Amina Ahmad, Dean SHaPE, the session was designed to provide attendees with valuable insights into the art of crafting impressive e-portfolios and strategies to encourage their students in this endeavor.

The workshop, the first in its series, featured interactive discussions, showcased real-life examples, and incorporated hands-on activities to enhance the learning experience.

On March 9, 2023, Prof. Dr. Syeda Amina Ahmad, the esteemed Dean of the School of Health Professions' Education, expertly led a symposium of notable significance titled "SAQs Vs SEQs."

It was attended by 61 participants, comprising of senior faculty members from CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry.

Facilitated sagaciously by Prof. Dr. Amina Ahmad, the symposium delved into the intricacies and distinctions between Short Answer Questions (SAQs) and Structured Essay Questions (SEQs).

Drawing judiciously from her expansive reservoir of knowledge and seasoned experience, the dean SHaPE presented a compelling and nuanced exploration of the dichotomy between the two assessment modalities.

Dr. Amina brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, holding a Doctorate in Education with a focus on health professions education from the College of Saint Mary, Omaha, Nebraska, and an MPhil in Education from the University of Cambridge.

With a stellar background in medical education, Dr. Amina has pioneered research initiatives and elevated programs at renowned institutions. Her distinguished career includes serving as a Programme Director, Supervisor and Examiner for DCPS & MCPS-HPE at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. She has also held key roles as the Director of the Department of Medical Education at Fatima Memorial Medical & Dental College and as an Associate Professor in Medical Education at the University of Health Sciences Lahore.

Her wealth of expertise and passion will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing journey of academic excellence at CMH Lahore Medical College / Institute of Dentistry
