Sahar Atif is a fashion entrepreneur, teacher at LUMS and before that LGS1A1. She has also been active with Daachi over the years with a deep desire to upskill generational artisans. It was a pleasure helping her with her journey that has led her to the MSt in Social Innovation (2024–2026) at the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School.

With a bachelors from PIFD, an executive MBA from LUMS, and years of impactful work promoting heritage crafts and empowering artisans across Pakistan, Sahar’s journey is rooted in purpose.

Her vision is now set on global impact through social innovation. Dignosco is humbled once again to prove there is no age to pursue to your dreams and to make them happen through sheer will power.

Laiba started her journey with us during her second year of O-Levels, what started with research tasks and discussions soon evolved into a transformation that helped Laiba serve as a powerful force that has nudged societal change in our community. Our in-house swiftie could be found humming the words to every song in the corner office where she would work day in and day out refining every word of her essays, re-thinking every sentence. To select between Cambridge and Wellesley now remains her only dilemma and we believe it is a healthy problem to face.

With a knack for writing, and having worked in the executive publication teams for Dastan and Morph Manifesto, Maimoona is a perfect fit for Bryn Mawr. A true intellectual with a passion for the sciences and social justice, she’s truly a well-rounded candidate and is the third sister we have helped secure a 120% scholarship in the US.

Affan could always be twiddling about the office doing strange exercises because he was always preparing for the next race. This focus on shaving milliseconds from his timing, also led him to sprint his way into Berkeley as a SAT optional candidate. He clocked 11.4 seconds over 100m to be the fastest Aitchisonian of his batch. Not 1.91 short of Usain Bolt, but 0.1 seconds faster than his self. We wish him the best for California.

Maheen is as sweet as can be, but not as much as her chow (who she can’t stop talking about). She is focused, empathetic, and not afraid to test her boundaries. It was always her dream to study in the UK but it doesn’t hurt that she also got into Wesleyan and the UCs as well. It is safe to say, however, that she will be taking on LSE, and we know with the kind of grit she entails, she will perform nothing short than brilliantly there.

Beginning his journey with us on the 2022 Rakaposhi trek, Wali has since demonstrated his curiosity in rather unfashionable ways. Motivated, passionate, and bright, he does justice to all of his attributes and goes above and beyond (his deadlines). He is also infamous for shouting “garamandayy” out the window at 2am from the Gulberg office. It is okay though. Wali compensated for his goofiness by authoring a paper on heavy metal accumulation as a dedicated researcher at GC University. His commitment to education shines through teaching and curriculum development at Science Fuse and Deaf Reach, where he taught science lectures and designed a curriculum in Pakistan Sign Language. We were lucky to have worked with him and the context of his unique challenges assures us we will continue to hear of his endeavors in the future.

Hassan helped conduct primary research on the early life of Har Gobind Khorana who lived in Khanewal and helped discover the genetic code. His contagious laugh downplays the strange encounters and struggle in his journey that helped him learn how our society responds to diversity in reality. We know he will bring the same grit and drive to chew at tough problems to create impact on the community at Grinnell.

Ismail took a gap year after not securing full aid in the previous round. Immensely well-read, he harbors a deep curiosity which is only satisfied by continuously pushing his limits. Ismail articulated a poetic work of art for his application, much like he does with everything he produces. Don’t get him started on why sitting on a chair is not an act of free will though- reading his supplements already demands too many brain cells. That said, everyone’s favorite mentor at the office would look after not just his work but that of everyone he could help when he wasn't tutoring them for the SATs (or saving up for Coldplay). He is easy to talk to and readily available to discuss his own journey with anybody who has not closed a full scholarship in their first cycle and are considering a gap year. We will miss him dearly while he's off at CMC.

Omer’s achievements are truly remarkable and showcase his unwavering commitment to personal growth and community service. From leading mental health initiatives and anti-bullying campaigns to excelling in athletics and journalism, his diverse skills and dedication are inspiring. His internship at his family’s company further highlights his practical expertise and proactive approach to learning and undoubtedly reflects his readiness for university life.

Ibrahim is a natural student-athlete who has participated in international and national level tournaments. While the kind of discipline he demonstrates in sports also shines in his academic pursuits, it is the strength of his character and the spirit to work for the betterment of the Pashtun community that helps him stand apart from his peers. We can't wait to see all the amazing things he will accomplish at Boston College and beyond!
