College of Physiotherapy-KEMU Mrs. Saleeha Saleem is the current Principal of College of Physiotherapy. The School of Physiotherapy, Mayo Hospital, Lahore was established in 1985.

This is 19 the batch for which applications are being invited B.Sc. Physiotherapy (4 Years course) was introduced in 1999 in this School which is affiliated with the University of the Punjab, Lahore. The overall mission of the School of Physiotherapy is to establish a centre of excellence in the medical sciences and technology which would be an agent of change and the role model for other institut

ions to emulate. It serves to attract the maximum possible talent for its upgrading. The school hopes to provide graduates in Physiotherapy who would distinguish themselves with their professional, humanistic and educational standards by the virtue of their organizational skills. They should be able to respond to the needs and problems of the patients while maintaining international standards. The school of Physiotherapy has been established to educate young men and women, the principles and appreciation of their responsibility to the society. The academic programme of the School is demanding and will require applied physical and intellectual energy. Graduates of this School are in great demand for appointment in National and Private Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers, Clinics and institutions of Physically Handicapped, Industrial Centers and foreign countries.

What is cervical spondylosis?
Cervical spondylosis, also known as cervical osteoarthritis or neck arthritis, is a common, age-related condition that affects the joints and discs in your neck. It develops from wear and tear of the cartilage and bones found in your cervical spine, which is in your neck. While it’s largely due to age, it can be caused by other factors as well.

The greatest risk factor for cervical spondylosis is aging. Cervical spondylosis often develops as a result of changes in your neck joints as you age. Disk herniation, dehydration, and bone spurs are all results of aging.

Factors other than aging can increase your risk of cervical spondylosis. These include:

* neck injuries
* work-related activities that put extra strain on your neck from heavy lifting
* holding your neck in an uncomfortable position for prolonged periods of time or repeating the same neck movements throughout the day (repetitive stress)
* genetic factors (family history of cervical spondylosis)
* smoking
* being overweight and inactive
