At Karachi Airport, over 30 abandoned aircraft have deteriorated into scrap, becoming shelters for birds, with many parts of these planes reportedly disappearing.
According to a private news channel, a dispute over the General Declaration (GD) has led to dozens of aircraft, including those from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), being abandoned at Karachi Airport for years.
The abandoned aircraft include 13 non-operational planes from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), such as Airbus 310s and two Jumbo 747s. As per sources, customs officials have requested GDs for these planes, but PIA has not provided them.

It projects a pattern of red and white lights that provide visual approach slope information. PAPIs provide a definite white and red light projection pattern along the desired descent path to the touchdown point. PAPIs are designed to reduce Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT) and landing distance over and under runs by assisting the pilot in establishing a stabilized descent.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced the temporary closure of the Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) route for six months.
The Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) by the CAA states that Route No J-183 between Dera Ismail Khan and Islamabad will be closed until December 31, 2024. Air Traffic Control has been notified of this decision.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore will be closed for three hours daily during the monsoon season.
From July 10 to September 10, both runways will be shut down from 5:00 am to 8:00 am to ensure flight and passenger safety due to the heightened bird threat during this period.
A notice issued by the CAA has informed all domestic and international airlines of this schedule. Emergency landing facilities will remain available in urgent situations.

Earlier, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) presented a progress report on the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan. It revealed that 61 planes were affected by bird strikes last year.

Pakistanis planning to perform Umrah next month can get discounted fares from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) until July 15.
The discounted fares for round-trip tickets from Lahore and Islamabad to Madina are Rs. 86,000, while tickets from to are priced at Rs. 76,000. These rates exclude taxes. Previously, the cost of an Umrah ticket was Rs. 120,000.
Saudi Arabia aims to increase the number of Muslims performing Umrah to 30 million annually. Abdulrahman bin Fahd, an assistant undersecretary for Umrah Affairs, mentioned this goal in an interview with Al Ekhbariya TV. The plan targets over 10 million Umrah pilgrims this year.

An Air Arabia flight from Kathmandu to Sharjah made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport after a crew member became seriously ill.
According to sources, the flight attendant, Anas from Morocco, experienced severe breathing difficulties during the flight, prompting the captain to request emergency landing permission from Karachi Air Traffic Control (ATC).
Upon landing, doctors from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) examined the flight attendant. Due to the severity of his condition, the flight attendant was immediately transferred to Aga Khan Hospital for further medical treatment.

The inaugural flight of Tajik airline Somon Air reached Islamabad from Dushanbe. Flight SMR 129 landed, carrying fourteen passengers on its maiden journey from Dushanbe to Islamabad.
To mark the occasion, fire tenders from the Civil Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting Service performed a traditional cannon salute. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to celebrate the event.
