đ Eid festivities with the Chaaon family đ
Alhumdullilah was fortunate enough to celebrate Eid festivities in advance with their family at ' Chaaon Trust' Old Age Home. The residents were embraced with warm Eid greetings. Our volunteers had arranged Meethai boxes, courtesy of Butt Sweets & Bakers & delicious cupcakes, which were distributed to everyone.
We also decided to hand out Eidi to all the residents. Ma sha Allah each one of them carries such a friendly & welcoming disposition. They were all smiles with their Eid gifts. Our volunteers also presented the residents with wonderful new Eid clothes & beautiful gajra's to wear.
We are so thankful to our volunteers who devote their time so willingly to spend it with the residents at the old age home. The Chaaon Trust community longs for such loving company & friendly faces. Each visit to Chaaon Trust is accompanied by us bearing gifts, but the biggest gift of all is the TIME that is spent with them. It truly enriches their hearts with happiness & brings light to their eyes. They are deserving of so much more & we hope we can continue to add a bit of happiness in their days.

Learning Hubs children along with the amazing volunteers of Parbat Foundation spent an enjoyable evening with their adopted Grandparents at Chaaon Old Home that provides shelter to elderly abandoned by their own. They were entertained by Learning Hub children with naats, poems and songs. The designation of titles; Nana, Nani, Dada, Dadi, was an absolute delight for all residents.
The evening was further made entertaining as a game of Tambola was arranged with the help of Parbat Foundationâs volunteers. A memorable evening ended with delicious snacks and tea prepared by Parbat Foundation.
Our heartfelt thanks to our special donors; Rubina and Rehan for sponsoring two of Learning Hubâs adopted Grandparents (Nana Abu and Bari Nani Ammi).
Our children are committed to give them the love of grandchildren. We request you to come forward to sponsor the remaining 15 Grandparents that await sponsorship.

Parbat Foundation recently visited the Old Age Shelter Home by the name of âChaaon Trustâ at Mayo Hospital.
A total of 17 residents are currently residing there...All of whom have lived beautiful lives but have been abandoned by their own families during their old age.
We sincerely felt that the residents want nothing more in life except some loving company so they can share the unconditional love that is brimming in their hearts.
Our team was accompanied by Learning Hubs - Social Intervention Drive. The children entertained the grandparents with recitation of naats & poems.
After which an entertaining Tambola game was arranged. We would like to extend our gratitude to Defence Raya Golf & Country Club for helping us arrange the game. It was an absolute delight for us to see the residents so engaged in the game, the excitement on their faces & the innocent joy of winning that followed...truly won our hearts.
Our team also distributed Eid gifts to all the residents. Each one of them was so grateful but in all essence; we are grateful to them for providing us with an opportunity to earn their prayers & love. We have made it our Ramazan Resolution to spend time with the residents at Chaaon Trust & celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with them as well in sha Allah.
We would like to thank our team of volunteers who put together a delicious tea for everyone. It truly felt like a grandparents home for that evening. There was so much laughter, love, warmth, wonderful stories to share...and a very natural sense of family was all around. A feeling that they have been deprived of but we can change that.
Grandparents are such that they should be valued & cherished. We are sharing pictures below from our visit. If their smiles warmed your hearts by any chance then please go & visit them. Give them your time & get their love & prayers in return.

We recently celebrated with the children of SOS at the SOS FISH PARTY 2019. We are thankful to all the volunteers who volunteered with Parbat Foundation (Empowering Society) and helped with the superb decorations & conducting the Poster Making competition highlighting the need to preserve our oceans.
We feel activities that incorporate and are highly important for children as it helps develop them mentally, socially and emotionally and provides a canvas to express themselves.
The world today faces so many challenges, of which one is whether we want to see our oceans full of plastic? Or fish? The challenge is ours & the choice is ours. The thought behind the event was to celebrate marine life with the children of SOS Children's Villages Pakistan & educate them about the preservation of the seas & oceans.
It is always so lovely & humbling to spend time with these children. We are consistently amazed by how gifted they are. The posters they have made truly reflect that. They know how to work competently in groups, give their input & can execute the work given to them with so much ingenuity & artistry.
Team Parbat feels lucky to have shared in their happiness as always.

We believe that every child is an artist. It is important for children to do something creative each day so that it nurtures their creativity. That is essentially why we always keep an Arts & Crafts class for the students, to ensure some fun activities during a day detailed with hectic classes & valuable lessons.
Our Arts & Crafts department has worked enthusiastically to provide a super artistic class each day. From coming in early to prepare for each dayâs activities to making sure that each studentâs craft is ready & complete. It truly takes a lot of stamina & effort to handle the over-excited students & conduct the class at the same time.
We were so pleased with their work & the studentâs enjoyment made all the exertion worthwhile.
The volunteers conducted a super fun Origami activity on their first day. They made âPomandersâ, a colorful paper decoration which were then placed inside the schoolâs library, adding a burst of colors to the shelves!
