Dr. Leitner Society for History, in collaboration with the Literary Committee of Quaid-e-Azam Hostel, proudly announces an Online Letter Writing Competition to commemorate the 149th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
📝Participants are invited to pen down their thoughts on the theme:
✍️ “A Letter to Jinnah on What His Birthday Means to a New Generation of Dreamers.”
This competition aims to encourage students to reflect on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s legacy and to express how his ideals continue to inspire the youth of today.
✅️Instructions For Letter Writing:
●This letter writing competition is exclusively for the current students of GCU Lahore only.
●The letter must be original, thoughtful, and written within the prescribed length of 200–350 words.
●Participants are reminded that plagiarised or AI-generated submissions will result in complete disqualification.
●Entries must be in "MS-WORD Format".
●The title of your MS-Word File must be your name along with department and session.
●Do mention your complete name, roll number, department, degree level & contact number in the file.
●Entries must be submitted via email only on or before December 25, 2025.

The museum stands as a comprehensive repository of Pakistan’s military heritage, offering a nuanced understanding of the nation’s struggle, resilience, and evolution.
The exhibits reflecting the Pre-Partition struggle for Pakistan provided the students with a deeper insight into the political consciousness, sacrifices, and leadership that culminated in the creation of an independent homeland. These galleries allowed the participants to contextualize the historical narratives they encounter in their textbooks with primary visual and documentary evidence. Equally impactful were the sections dedicated to the Indo-Pak Wars of 1948, 1965, and 1971 showcasing the valour, strategic brilliance, and sacrifices of the martyrs who defended the country during these defining moments. This visit served not only as a gesture of respect but also as an academic exercise in understanding the human dimensions of sacrifice, nationhood, and collective memory.
Yadgar-e-Shuhadā stands as a symbol of unwavering patriotism, preserving within its quiet walls the stories of countless defenders whose bravery transcends the written record. The memorial embodies the spirit of selflessness and devotion to duty values that form the cornerstone of Pakistan’s national identity. For the students of history, this space offered an opportunity to engage with the past not merely through texts but through the emotional and moral weight carried by this sacred site.
