This Institute was established in 1946, for the rehabilitation of World War II effectees of ex-serviceman. This training institute got civilian status in 1953 and remained under the Ministry of Manpower and Training, Government of the Pakistan. After 1972, the institute came under the Ministry of Manpower and Training till the establishment of the TEVTA Authority.
