Civil Society leaders, academics and climate advocates have called for the urgent integration of children’s rights into Pakistan’s climate change response framework. The policy round table on ‘The Impacts of Climate Change on Children in Pakistan and Child-Centred Climate Resilient Policy Choices’ held at CPPG in collaboration with Search for Justice, Climate Action Now- Pakistan and the Child Rights Movement.

Wrapping up an engaging and insightful panel discussion on “The Future of Free Media in Pakistan: From Policy Reforms to Professional Empowerment”. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Ayesha Saddiqua (CPPG).
The session featured thought-provoking perspectives from our distinguished panelists Dr. Adeel Amir, Ms. Remshay Ahmed, and Mr. Faraz Saeed, with impactful concluding remarks by Dr. Saeed Shafqat.

CPPG had the pleasure of hosting the Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan H.E. Frederico Silva. During his visit, the Ambassador spoke about bilateral relations, between the two countries and the significance of the Portuguese language in the world. The interactive session proved to be highly engaging, with students raising thoughtful questions on topics ranging from sports and politics to broader avenues of collaboration between Portugal and Pakistan. The discussion not only highlighted shared opportunities but also encouraged meaningful dialogue between the students and the distinguished guest.

CPPG hosted a thought-provoking seminar on “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)”, highlighting the Gender based violence in Pakistan and across the world. The session shed light on how structural inequalities continue to marginalize vulnerable communities, while also unpacking the global ripple effects of shifting EDI commitments. Our distinguished guest speaker, Ms. Sofia Mahmood, Founder and Director of Empowering Minds, drew on her 23 years of experience across public, private and voluntary sectors to highlight practical ways institutions can embed EDI into their frameworks. She emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency in fostering inclusive practices that go beyond symbolic gestures. The discussion sparked meaningful reflections on how Pakistan and other countries can shape their policies as a transformative force for equitable governance and social justice.

CPPG hosted a seminar on, “Women and Child Protective Policies for Environmental Change and Natural Disasters.” The session, delivered by Dr. Sara Rizvi Jafree, explored how women and children, as some of the most vulnerable groups during disasters, require inclusive and gender-sensitive policy frameworks. Discussions focused on Pakistan’s current policies, global best practices, and strategies for resilience, empowerment and equitable disaster preparedness.
The seminar provided a platform for meaningful dialogue on building safer and more inclusive futures for all.
