تیری اک پتنگ کے کٹنے سے
میری متاع حیات لٹ گئی

دھاتی ڈور تھی۔ گردن کاٹ گئی۔ ایک لمحے کیلئے کھڑا ہوا۔ جاننے کی کوشش کی کہ آخر ہوا کیا ہے۔ موٹر سائیکل سڑک پر تھا۔ سفید کپڑے سرخ ہو رہے تھے۔ خوبرو خون میں نہا چکا تھا۔ شریانیں کسی بڑے بور والے پائیپ کی مانند سینکٹروں ملی لیٹر خون منٹوں میں جسم سے باہر نکال رہی تھیں ۔ ایک گاڑی قریب سے گزری ۔ شاید کسی نے رکنے کا کہا۔ کون رُکتا ہے؟
خون بہنا تھا، سو بہہ گیا۔ جانے والا چلا گیا۔ سفید چادر سے چہرہ ڈھانپا ۔ وہ چادر بھی رنگین ہو گئی۔ رنگ تو زندگی ہوا کرتے ہیں۔ رنگ موت بھی ہوتے ہیں۔۔۔۔۔

آسان کام ہے؟؟؟
اولاد کو جنم دینے سے لے کر جوان ہوتے دیکھنا۔ اُمیدیں باندھنا ۔ ان کی آواز سن کر جی اُٹھنا ۔ اور پھر ایک دن ان کا جنازہ بوڑھے کندھوں پر رکھ کر دُور چھوڑ آنا ۔ یہ دکھ گھن کی مانند اندر سے خالی کرتا ہے۔ دن تو کٹ ہی جاتا ہے۔ رات ہوتی ہے اور اولاد کا خالی بستر نظر آتا ہے تو سسکیوں سے روتے ہیں ماپے۔۔۔

لیکن خیر، جاؤ بسنت مناؤ ۔ کون سا تمہارا کچھ لگتا تھا؟ تم نے تو نہیں مرنا ۔ تمہارے پاس تو کار ہے۔ اس میں دھاتی ڈور داخل نہیں ہوتی۔

جو یہ آلۂ قتل تُم بنا رہے ہو بناتے رہو۔ پیٹ بھرنے کیلئے کر رہے ہو نا؟ اس کی آگ پھر بھی نہیں بجھنی ۔

اور جنہیں یہ سب روکنا تھا، اوہو۔۔۔۔ کیسے حساب دو گے یار؟؟؟

کوئی گٹر میں گر کر مر گیا۔
کوئی ڈور پھرنے سے قتل ہوا۔
کسی کو ڈاکو اڑا گئے۔
کسی کو گندا پانی مار گیا۔

یہ سب Human Errors کی وجہ سے ہوا جو بالکل درست کی جا سکتی تھیں ۔ لیکن آج 75 سال بعد بھی اخبار کی وہی سرخیاں ہیں۔

نوٹس لے لیا۔ تھانیدار معطل ۔ کوتاہی برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی۔ آہنی ہاتھوں سے نمٹا جائے گا۔ آپریشن شروع۔ ہیلی کاپٹر سے نگرانی ۔ وغیرہ وغیرہ ۔ ۔ ۔ ۔

کاش اس ملک کے لوگوں کی گوروں کے کتوں جتنی اہمیت ہی ہوتی۔۔۔۔۔

Dr. Khorana Society for Chemistry (DKSC) organised a seminar on Green Chemistry, on 22nd February, 2024.
The Advisor of DKSC, Mr. Behram Shehzad gave a talk on the current industrial unsustainability and the corresponding adverse effects it has on the environment. He also explained the necessity for Green Chemistry, and the promises it hold for environment. This ended up being an interesting session which raised awareness among students regarding the development of sustainable industrial practices. We are also thankful to the Advisor, who managed time and deemed it necessary to spread awareness about this important issue.
Further sessions, workshops and industrial tours will also be organised in the future by the cabinet. So stay tuned for further activities!

A joint venture of Dr. Khorana Society for Chemistry (DKSC) and Tariq Aziz Quiz Society (TAQS), a quiz competition on "Semiconductors" and "Atomic theory" was held on 13th February, 2024.
It was a competitive environment between students, who tried their best on the test.
