The Assessment, Insight, and Measurement Centre (AIMC) at the Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali, School of Education (SOE), LUMS, recently facilitated a professional development session for senior education officials from across Punjab, as part of PECTAA's Promotion-Linked Training Programme for BS-19 to BS-20 officers.
The session, attended by 31 Principals, District Education Officers, CEOs (DEA), and Senior Subject Specialists from districts spanning Rawalpindi to DG Khan, explored the history of assessment in Pakistan and introduced participants to the principles and practice of competency-based assessment (CBA). Participants worked through real Grade 9 curriculum examples and designed assessment approaches for their own school contexts.
AIMC is committed to advancing assessment literacy and evidence-based practice across Pakistan's education system. We are proud to partner with PECTAA in strengthening the professional development ecosystem for the educators shaping Punjab's next generation.
