Iqbal Day, celebrated on November 9th each year in Pakistan, marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a philosopher, poet, and visionary whose ideas profoundly influenced the course of the nation's history. Born in 1877 in Sialkot, Iqbal was not only a brilliant poet but also a thinker who envisioned an independent Muslim state, which ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan.

March 23rd is celebrated as Pakistan Day, commemorating the Lahore Resolution passed on this day in 1940. The resolution called for the establishment of a separate independent state for Muslims of British India, which eventually led to the creation of Pakistan in 1947.
