Reimagining mobility, one pedal at a time! ⚙️⚡

DAE Mechanical 3rd year students from GCT Railway Road Lahore proudly presented their project 'Modification in E-Bike' at the 10th Invention to Innovation Summit 2025, held at the University of the Punjab on April 23–24.

This innovative hybrid bicycle features three smart charging modes — conventional (plug-in), solar (PV panel), and mechanical (dynamo while pedaling) — offering a sustainable and efficient solution for modern-day commuting.

Moreover, the project advisor was invited by the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering to speak at a seminar attended by 4th and 6th semester students geared towards the importance and impact of technical education, further highlighting the role of TEVTA in empowering the next generation of innovators.

The UET Affiliation Committee honored our college with their visit for annual evaluation.

The day commenced with a warm reception, followed by a detailed meeting in the T.O.T room, where Mr. M. Abdullah delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation. The committee engaged in meaningful discussions and conducted a thorough review of documents and records.

The visit continued with a tour of our labs, workshops, and other college facilities, showcasing the infrastructure and resources available. To conclude, a lunch was hosted for the participants in the Principal’s office, after which the committee departed.

Cracking the code of material hardness! 💪🔍 Our students dive into the Brinell Hardness Test in the Materials Testing Lab, mastering the technique of measuring material Indentation Hardness with pinpoint accuracy.

Fun Fact: The Brinell Hardness Test, named after Swedish engineer Johan August Brinell, was first showcased during the Paris World Fair in 1900. This groundbreaking method became a cornerstone in material science, and over a century later, it's still a gold standard in the industry.
