Excited to share that today, the Department of Nutrition Sciences-FAHS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NUR Foundation – Fatima Memorial System.
This partnership marks an important step toward strengthening academic excellence through providing students with opportunities for House Job, supervised clinical practice, research collaboration, faculty engagement, and community-focused initiatives in Nutrition Sciences.

Final Project: Infant & Young Child Feeding
Students of the 6th Semester BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics conducted educational sessions in the Pediatric Ward and OPD of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Haroon Ishaq Trust Hospital under the guidance and supervision of their Course Instructor Ms. Taliya Amir.
The sessions covered Complementary Feeding, Breastfeeding, and Medical Nutrition Therapy of Infantile Diarrhoea. The activities included awareness lectures, brochure distribution, and food demonstrations.
Special thanks to the Dean FAHS Dr. Ahsan Javed and HOD Dr. Ayesha Saeed for their support and facilitation.

The Department successfully hosted a guest lecture on the topic Why Won’t My Child Eat? Understanding Weaning & Picky Eating organized by Ms. Taliya Amir
Guest speaker Ms. Manahil Zahra Hijjab, a Former Lecturer at Universityof Home Economics, Preceptor & Registered Dietitian at Sheikh Zayed Hospital, delivered an exceptional session bridging theory with clinical practice. Students advanced their core competencies in weaning behaviors, evidence-based responsive feeding, and the analytical skills required to differentiate typical picky eating from complex feeding disorders.
