Girls are trailblazers ✨🥀

Women have always been an integral part of Pakistan’s history. Women in Pakistan have proven to be incredibly talented, brave and determined, including those who have become the first female Prime Minister of the Muslim world(Benazir Bhutto) , Nigar Jauhar, and many more inspirational women. Today yet another name has been added to this list of excellence – ‘Qandeel Murtaza’ from Haripur KP who was awarded 17 gold medals during her MBBS convocation at Khyber Girls Medical College(KGMC), Peshawar in May 2026. Her success is not only her own but a message of hope and inspiration to thousands of girls, particularly from KP and ex-FATA.

The stereotype of girls from ex-FATA and some areas of KP communities enduring rigid constraints in their social lives and being unable to progress in life has existed for quite a while. However, the situation is fast evolving today. The girls are now being educated and empowered by their families, and they excel in all fields, from education to medical sciences, administration to leadership. The achievements of in the CSS 2025, and her selection in the Pakistan Administrative Services(PAS) is another good example of the daughters of these regions breaking the barriers and making history with their hard work and determination.

These achievements are not unrelated events, but they are indications of a changing society. such success stories demonstrate that with trust, education and encouragement, girls are a national asset as well as a family pride. Qandeel Murtaza, Muneeba Hussain and many such girls are pioneers of a new generation of girls who aspire to become doctors, officers, bureaucrats,and leaders. Their stories serve as a reminder for all young girls that nothing can stop a person who has faith in themselves and is dedicated to their efforts.
