We pause to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Ghulam Abbas Thabal — a valued member, generous donor, and steadfast friend of PURS.
A graduate of Law College, Mr. Ghulam Abbas has supported this society not only through his presence but through a quiet and consistent generosity that has shaped the character of our gatherings.
His sponsorship of refreshments — the tea that has warmed our post-session discussions and kept the conversation going long after the formal proceedings have ended, may seem a modest contribution to an outside observer, but those of us who have experienced it know otherwise.
It is in those informal moments, over a cup of tea, that ideas are tested, friendships are formed, and the real work of an intellectual community takes place. Mr. Ghulam Abbas has been funding that space, reliably and without fanfare, from the very beginning.
Beyond material support, his personal warmth toward guest speakers and audiences alike reflects a deep belief in what PURS stands for, not merely as an organization, but as a community of minds committed to serious inquiry and open dialogue.
PURS is profoundly grateful for his trust, his generosity, and his presence. We are fortunate to have him among us.
