Commemorating the first anniversary of Indian strikes and Pakistan’s historic victory in "Marka-e-Haq", a solemn ceremony was held at Government College of Technology for Women.
The Pak-India conflict of 10th May 2025 marked a historic day when the Pakistan Air Force demonstrated exceptional courage and professionalism. The decisive actions of PAF pilots successfully defended the nation's airspace and were hailed as a symbol of national pride. This remarkable display of bravery was named "Marka-e-Haq," representing the triumph of truth and justice.
The day serves as a reminder to the youth to uphold truth and stand firm for the sovereignty of Pakistan.
The event included speeches, national songs, and tributes to the martyrs and heroes of Marka-e-Haq. The day serves as a reminder to the youth to uphold truth and stand firm for the sovereignty of Pakistan.

Government College of Technology for Women (GCTW), Lytton, hosted a high level visit led by Parliamentary Secretary SDED Mr. Adnan Afzal Chattha and Secretary SDED Mr. Nadir Chattha, along with the Project Director PIU-IWRPP, PIU officials, and the consultant team. The delegation was warmly received by the Regional Director, Mrs. Uzma Nadia, and the Principal of GCTW, Mrs. Tehmina Aziz. The purpose of the visit was to review the ongoing progress of civil works and assess development under the project. During the visit, detailed discussions were held regarding the current status, challenges, and timely completion of the work. All concerned stakeholders were directed to ensure their active presence and coordination for the smooth ex*****on and monitoring of project activities.

Collaboration for collective betterment:
Government College of Technology for Women Lytton Road signed an MoU with PEL (Pak Elektron Limited) to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. The MoU was signed with the kind cooperation and support of Major (R) Arif Rashid Mir, Sr. GM, who extended valuable assistance throughout the process. The agreement was signed on behalf of GCTW by Principal Madam Tehmina Aziz. The ceremony was also attended by Syeda Maryam, IPO of GCTW. Under this MoU, PEL will provide valuable opportunities for students, including internships, industrial visits, and placement support, aiming to enhance students’ technical skills, professional exposure, and career development.

Labour Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Government College of Technology for Women, Lytton Road, Lahore. The event started with a special gathering where students highlighted the importance of workers in national development. Teachers delivered speeches on labour rights, dignity of work, and the historic background of Labour Day. A poster and speech competition was also held to engage students and spread awareness about workplace safety. The principal appreciated the role of support staff. The program ended with a pledge to promote fairness, equality, and respect for all kinds of labour in society.

Government College of Technology for Women, Lahore, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lahore City College. Under this collaboration, Lahore City College will provide internship and placement opportunities for the students of GCTW. In addition, they will organize a series of motivational and grooming sessions at their campus, delivered by their PhD-qualified faculty. This initiative aims to enhance the professional, personal, and academic development of GCTW students, ensuring their comprehensive grooming in all aspects.
