The Department of International Relations takes great pride in announcing the commendable achievements of our students at MTCMUN, held from 17th to 19th October 2025.

Noor-ul-Ain Khan Niazi served as Chair of UNCSW, demonstrating exemplary leadership and a strong commitment to fostering constructive and inclusive debate.
Ayesha Ghassan received a Honourable Mention in UNCSW, Jannat Waseem was awarded a Special Mention in CRISIS and Fatima Majeed was awarded a Special Mention in IAEA.

The Department of International Relations is pleased to share that Dr. Aiysha Safdar, Head of the International Relations Department, was invited as a Keynote Speaker at Minhaj University Lahore’s 5th Winter School on Maritime Affairs (WSMA-2025), a week-long intensive short course bringing together scholars and practitioners in the field of maritime studies.

During the session, Dr. Aiysha Safdar contributed her expertise on Sustainable Coastal Communities, Green Tourism, and Ethical Practices, offering critical insights into the intersections of sustainability, ethical governance, and community-centered development in maritime spaces. Her speech sparked thoughtful discussion and meaningful academic exchange among the participants. The Department of International Relations is proud to announce the remarkable achievements of its student at RYMUN.
The event was held from October 31 to November 2, where our students showcased exceptional leadership and diplomatic skill. Noor-Ul-Ain Khan presided as the Chair for UNGA, and Zara Imtiaz served as the Committee Director for UNCSW.
Additionally, the delegation secured distinguished accolades, with Zahra Asif receiving the Outstanding Diplomacy award in UNGA, while Tawasal and Meerab Ejaz were awarded with Special Mentions for their remarkable diplomacy.

Dr. Aiysha Safdar, the Head of the Department of International Relations, Kinnaird College for Women, as a session-chair, chaired the session on “Naval Doctrines and Maritime Security in a Multipolar World Order at the MCE – UMT Two-Day International Conference On ‘Re-Thinking Security: Traditional And Non Traditional Threats In a Transforming World’ on 11 November 2025, bringing together distinguished speakers who shared insightful perspectives on evolving maritime challenges, nuclear rivalry, and regional cooperation. The discussion flowed with energy and depth, encouraging meaningful dialogue and reflection on Pakistan’s strategic role in an increasingly complex maritime landscape. The session was both intellectually enriching and engaging, leaving participants inspired by the power of academic exchange and informed debate.

The International Relations Club of Kinnaird College for Women University proudly organised a heart-warming event to commemorate the enduring brotherhood between Pakistan and Türkiye on November 4th — a bond rooted in shared history, trust, culture, and unwavering solidarity.

We were honoured to welcome H.E. Mr. Mehmet Eymen Şimşek, Consul General of Türkiye, as our distinguished Chief Guest. His presence made the occasion truly memorable and reinforced the spirit of fraternity celebrated on this day. The event commenced with an address from our keynote speaker, Cdre Ehsan Ahmad, Deputy President, Maritime Centre of Excellence, and we were humbled to have been bequeathed with the company of four respected panelists, Prof Dr Rana Ejaz, Prof Dr Shabnum Gul, Dr Shakila Sindhu, and Dr Irfan Ali Fani; this set the mood for the evening splendidly.

Our Esteemed Principal, Prof. Dr. Irum Anjum, graced the ceremony with her reassuring words, underscoring the role of academic cooperation in sustaining stronger ties between nations.

Together, we celebrated a friendship that transcends borders and time — a partnership whose very essence lies in mutual respect and an equally shared commitment to peace, unity, and progress. May the bond between Pakistan and Türkiye continue to flourish and inspire. 🌙✨🇵🇰🇹🇷

Dr. Aiysha Safdar, Head Of the Department, along with the students of Semester 3 from the Department of International Relations, Kinnaird College for Women, visited the Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS) on Wednesday, 23rd October 2025, to attend a seminar on “Regional Cooperation and Minilateralism: Navigating Pakistan’s Strategic Choices in a Drifting Regional Order.”
The discussion proved highly interactive, with Kinnaird students actively participating and raising thoughtful questions. The visit offered them a valuable opportunity to engage with policy practitioners and deepen their understanding of real-world strategic and diplomatic. The Department of International Relations extends its gratitude to the organizers of the conference, encouraging students to contribute to such significant academic and strategic dialogues, and congratulates all participants for their valuable representation.
