🍝✨ Precision. Patience. Pasta!

The Department of Civil Engineering successfully hosted the Spaghetti + Marshmallow Challenge on May 6, 2026, at the UOL Outdoor Playing Ground.

Using nothing but spaghetti sticks, tape, string, and a marshmallow, participants pushed their limits to build the tallest, most stable structure possible. The challenge tested:
✅ Creativity under pressure
✅ Teamwork and communication
✅ Basic structural principles (triangulation, load distribution, stability)

What happens when simple materials meet sophisticated design thinking? You get an afternoon of innovation, laughter, and engineering excellence!

We are proud to share that our team from the Department of Civil Engineering, UOL participated in Expo 2026, presenting our project on the Monolithic Ballasted Flocculation System.

This platform provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our technical expertise and innovative approach in water treatment engineering. The system offers a compact, cost-effective, and sustainable solution for enhanced sedimentation in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment.

The Department of Civil Engineering successfully hosted the Newspaper Bridge Challenge & Blueprint Drafting Competition on May 20, 2026.

Participants transformed simple materials into innovative bridge models and demonstrated exceptional precision in technical drafting—proving that great engineering is both an art and a science.

Congratulations to all winners, runners-up, and participants for your outstanding enthusiasm and skill. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and faculty for making this event a remarkable success.

The Department of Civil Engineering proudly announces the official inauguration of its Student Council Committee – a visionary initiative led by our Head of Department and brought to life by the Society of Civil Engineers (SOCE).

This formal platform is dedicated to guiding and supporting students through every stage of their academic and professional journey.

We congratulate all council members and look forward to their leadership in fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

It is with deep regret and a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of our much-anticipated Alumni Reunion 2026, originally rescheduled for April 14, 2026.

Due to the ongoing situation and the government's fuel saving policy, we are left with no choice but to defer the event until conditions improve.

We are truly saddened and emotional by this decision, as we had put our best efforts into organizing this gathering in the most professional manner, hoping to welcome you back to your alma mater. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control have forced us to take this difficult step.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for this second postponement. We understand your disappointment, as it is equally shared by us.
