Lahore Garrison University organized a special recognition ceremony to honor Nauman Sajjad, a 6th-semester Computer Science student, for securing 2nd position in the Huawei ICT Competition 2026
The ceremony was attended by students, faculty members, deans, and heads of departments, along with Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (R) Khalil Dar and the parents of Nauman Sajjad.
Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor stated that the university had “never witnessed such a proud moment” in its history, adding that Nauman Sajjad had not only brought pride to LGU but had also made Pakistan proud on an international platform.

Lahore Garrison University proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement as its Vice Chancellor was awarded the Best Vice Chancellor Medal by the President of Kyungdong University a prestigious honor conferred annually upon the most outstanding Vice Chancellor among KDU’s 93 collaborating universities.
This recognition reflects his exemplary leadership, dedication to academic excellence, and significant contributions to the advancement of higher education, bringing great pride to the entire LGU community.
🤝 Strengthening Academia-Industry Collaboration
LGU and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 4th June 26 to foster stronger academia-industry linkages and create meaningful opportunities for students, faculty, and industry stakeholders.
The partnership aims to promote collaborative research, internships, seminars, workshops, innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development initiatives. Through this collaboration, both institutions will work together to bridge the gap between education and industry by encouraging knowledge sharing, industrial exposure, business incubation, curriculum enhancement, and the commercialization of research.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, President, Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Major General Muhammad Khalid Dar, HI(M) (Retd), Vice Chancellor, Lahore Garrison University.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Mr. Nouman Aslam Sheikh, Director General IPO Pakistan; Mr. Umer Saleem, Convener Standing Committee; Mr. Sajjad Afzal, Former Executive Committee Member; and Dr. Rizwana Bashir.
