How to make notes
Copying things straight from the textbook doesn't help you learn it so much but if you want to make notes, then you need to be able to condense the information, so in the this post I'll give you some tips on how to do so.

1) Read the text
if you just write it down as you read it, it'll be very difficult to condense it as much. If you read a sentence or two and THEN go to write it down, it will allow you to properly shorten and understand it.

2) Come up with symbols and letters to replace words
There's a lot of words that are often repeated a bunch, if you can come up with shortened versions of these words and use them regularly, it will make everything a lot faster.

- IDEAS ON SHORTENED WORDS

1. do arrows up and down to represent 'increasing' and 'decreasing', it can also replace 'more', 'raises', 'higher' along with many more.

2.In Maths, its common to do three dots to represent 'therefore', use this notation in your normal notes also.

3. for phrases such as 'this leads to' and 'this causes', do either a horizontal arrow to the right or an equals sign.

Hello everyone!
I've been getting alot of requests regarding the resources for A-levels. So I thought of sharing useful resources with you guys today! If you guys know any other useful resources, make sure to link them in the comments down below! (ps: most of the resources I've mentioned are free)

1. physicsandmathstutor

this is a website that is REALLY helpful. Youll be able to find solutions to numerous textbooks, so you can see the worked solutions which will be a life saver when you'll be solving questions. There's also notes, videos, questions and much more.

2. math made easy

math made easy sells math resources, and they also have online test, questions and more! definitely one worth checking out.

3. drfrostmaths

although they have more gcse stuff, drfrostmaths has some a-level content too! It's all free too and there's lots and lots of questions you can practice from!

4. alevelmathsrevision .com

This website is pretty remarkable! they have maths exam questions all sorted out by topic with videos too!

5) khan academy

this is perhaps one of my favorite! its free and although made for American students, you can use their videos and questions too! its explained really well and overall its an amazing website.

6. examsolutions

this website goes through questions with video tutorials, you can go question by question and if you don't understand a question, there's a video tutorial going through it right below which is very useful and helpful! there's also lots of other videos just going through the topics too!

7. mr barton maths

Again another free website, mr barton maths has pastpapers, mark schemes and solutions as well as notes videos examples!

8. maths genie

Maths genie is a website with all the topics all organized with videos to explain them, exam questions and solutions!

How to prepare for A levels over the summer!!
Best of luck to all students who have exams coming up, remember to revise on a regular basis and practice as much as you can. As we know "Practice makes man perfect".
