International Human Rights Day is celebrated in order to protect and promote human rights. These rights include- social, economical, fundamental and all other rights that must be given to an individual just because he/she is a human being. It also seeks to bring a sense of responsibility to the authorities and also to make them accountable for any human rights violation. 🙌
Despite more and more people getting educated and the progress of the world, there are billions of people who are underprivileged , oppressed and deprived of their basic rights. Many still face discrimination on the basis of Caste, race , ethnicity, religion and financial background. Therefore, Human Rights Day addresses the concern of such people in society and seeks to bring them to the forefront. 💪
