نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
”سب سے بہتر دعا عرفہ والے دن کی دعا ہے اور میں نے اب تک جو کچھ ( بطور ذکر ) کہا ہے اور مجھ سے پہلے جو دوسرے نبیوں نے کہا ہے ان میں سب سے بہتر دعا یہ ہے:
لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير ”اللہ واحد کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اسی کے لیے ( ساری کائنات کی ) بادشاہت ہے، اسی کے لیے ساری تعریفیں ہیں اور وہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے“۔
