What is Sin

I'm presenting my research and encouraging you to come to your own decision about what sin really is.

Adam's sin is described as "disobedience" in Romans 5:19

The word obedience here is hupakoúō. Combining hupo (under) and akoúō (to listen).

It means to listen under the authority of the one speaking.

The word disobedience is parakoúō . Combining pará (from close behind) and akoúō (to listen).

I like how Thayer describes this word as Carlessly listening.

This is the original sin of mankind. A failure to trust God when he spoke.

Was sin God's punishment, or is sin the biological consequence of careless listening?

Sin is essentially a conscious influence. This is why it is used as a noun throughout Romans 5 and 6.

Be careful how you hear. There was a good side of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We can follow what sounds right or we can follow what is right.

Preparing classes

Beginning March 19, 2022 this page will be airing Facebook Live classes beginning with New Testament Survey. These classes will be weekly and hopefully, if i do this right, they will be archived.

Its called a Bible College because a group of Pakistani people will be earning college credits for their work. However, the classes are open to anyone for no charge.

These classes will be at 6 AM every Sunday to accommodate the Pakistani student's schedule. Any questions you may have please post, whenever you take the opportunity to watch the videos, in the comment section.

I have no idea how to run these pages so please bear with us as we figure it out.
