๐Ÿšจ Landslide hits Nepal's Darchula District

A large landslide struck the Bhattar area of Api Himal Rural Municipality in Darchula, partially blocking the Chaulani (Chameliya) River. Authorities issued high-alert warnings for downstream communities, and around 10 families were relocated as a precaution.

The good news: by evening, the river had gradually washed away the debris and resumed flowing freely, reducing the risk of a major blockage-triggered flood โ€” similar to the deadly Bhote Koshi River disaster in Rasuwa district last week.
