Washington: The American space agency NASA has successfully tested a laser signal from a space craft located at a distance of 16 million kilometers.
At present, communication with all spacecraft in space is done with the help of radio signals, while signals are sent and received from large antennas installed around the world. Although this method of messaging has proven to be reliable, it has limited bandwidth which means that sending large files such as HD photos and videos is slow and impossible.

اس وقت خلا میں موجود تمام خلائی جہازوں سے رابطہ ریڈیو سگنلز کی مدد سے کیا جاتا ہے جبکہ دنیا بھر میں نصب بڑے انٹینا سے سگنل بھیجے اور وصول کیے جاتے ہیں۔ اگرچہ پیغام رسانی کا یہ طریقہ قابل اعتماد ثابت ہوا ہے، لیکن اس میں محدود بینڈوڈتھ ہے جس کا مطلب ہے کہ بڑی فائلیں جیسے کہ ایچ ڈی فوٹو اور ویڈیوز بھیجنا سست اور ناممکن ہے۔
جبکہ لیزر کمیونیکیشن کے ذریعے اس کام کو 100 گنا بڑھایا جا سکتا ہے۔
