‏رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:

صاحب قرآن سے کہا جائے گا: پڑھتے جاؤ اور(جنت کی منازل) چڑھتے جاؤ اور عمدگی کے ساتھ ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھو جیسا کہ تم دنیا میں عمدگی سے پڑھتے تھے، تمہاری منزل وہاں ہے، جہاں تم آخری آیت پڑھ کر قرآت ختم کرو گے ۔

(سنن ابی داؤد : ۱۴۶۴)
